About Us

The Woof Pack provides thoughtful, one-on-one grooming designed to keep dogs comfortable, confident, and looking their best. Our boutique salon focuses on specialty dog grooming, personalized care, and a calm environment to support calm one-on-one attention.

Our Journey: Passion for Pet Grooming

The Woof Pack was born out of a love for dogs and the simple belief that they deserve nothing but the best. All our grooming is guided by a consultation with each client at drop-off, and we work by appointment only to maintain a calm, non-stressful environment where we can give every dog dedicated one-on-one attention. Water is readily available throughout every appointment, and we regularly reward dogs for good behavior during their groom. With additional comforts like aroma therapy, soft music, and WiFi in our lobby for pet parents who wish to wait at our location, we strive to offer a peaceful experience for dogs and their families alike.

Our Grooming Policies

In order to keep our space a safe, welcoming environment for all families, we require all pets and clients to adhere to the following policies when booking at The Woof Pack.

Required Vaccines
K
L

Rabies: Vaccinations for rabies are required by Kentucky law. Clients MUST provide a signed rabies certificate that is within the date of appointment.

Distemper/Parvo: Please follow your vet's vaccination schedule or consult with your groomer if you have questions.

Pick Up/Drop Off
K
L

Please arrive no later than 15 minutes for your scheduled drop-off or pick-up time. Pets left longer than 30 minutes past appointment time will incur additional charges for boarding at the groomer's discretion. Communication is key!

Matting
K
L

Matting is an uncomfortable knot of hair that often hides skin conditions, bruising, or sores underneath. Matting can be very difficult or painful to remove and can also cause complications such as coat damage, skin nicks, hematoma, or bruising. Pets who come in severely matted will not be judged for their condition, but will be shaved down. Blades cannot cut through the mat, only under.

We understand a short haircut is not always ideal, but humanity over vanity is our policy. Matted dogs will incur additional charges on top of scheduled pricing to account for additional supplies, time, and wear/tear on equipment on a case-by-case basis. As a pet owner, you agree that you will not hold The Woof Pack LLC liable for any complications that occur due to coat negligence.

Filth/Deskunking/Parasites
K
L

We do not accept pets that have fleas, parasites, or have been skunked. This is in place to keep the salon clean, parasite-free, and to keep odor down that may stress out other animals. We recommend keeping your pet on a prevention schedule with your primary care veterinarian. We provide coupons to partner vets in the area. If fleas are found, there will be a $30 cleaning fee added to your visit. Repeat fleas will require proof of veterinary-prescribed prevention following 2nd offense.

We will bathe filthy dogs, but there are additional charges for excessive filth. As an example, we will charge extra for grooming an outdoor dog who requires 3x as much product to come clean, compared to a similarly sized pet who is maintained in the home.

Behavior
K
L

We understand grooming can be very stressful for some pets. Those who have behavior concerns are welcome, but we ask that you be honest about your pet’s demeanor. We will work on table training, but at times, pets who bite, roll, or break equipment may be asked to consult with their vet for a "Chill Pack" to make grooming safer for everyone. Pets may be muzzled in the event of snapping or biting in order to protect everyone.

We will never push a dog past their threshold. There is a difference between being terrified of the process and aggression. Fear-based aggression can be worked through, but true aggression may require the use of tools such as muzzles or medications prescribed by your vet. When in doubt, we recommend you book a Meet & Greet appointment so we can discuss your concerns.
